The Curio Cabinet offers an unparalleled, turn-key event opportunity within a truly distinctive New York City hidden gem.

 

OUR OFFERING:

The Curio Cabinet hosts intimate gatherings for up to 25 people in a private “museumette” — an antiquities loft with a renowned collection of American and European antiques. Hidden in the heart of DUMBO, Brooklyn, The Curio Cabinet is anything but “Millennial Gray”... highly creative, colorful, and art-filled!

THE SETTING: 

Featuring captivating, iconic views of the Brooklyn Bridge, downtown Manhattan, and the East River waterfront, and 11 distinctive rounded-top windows looking out on the bustling river.

TRANSPORTATION:

Convenient and easy to access on two major train lines (F and A/C) and the Dumbo Ferry stop, this jewel is equipped with central air, wifi, and a passenger elevator accessible in the building’s lobby. It is just over the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan Bridge.

All-Inclusive Pricing: Affordable flat rate fee for up to 25 people, which includes the venue, exquisite gourmet food, a curated selection of drinks, and expert hosting.

EVENT DURATION AND TIMING:

Each event is thoughtfully designed for two hours, with flexible time options available between morning and 9pm. Event requests for later than 9pm can be arranged for an additional fee. 

 

THE VIBE:

Food and drinks are elegantly served on antique porcelain, crystal, and silver, reflecting the Curio Cabinet’s unique character. Photo opportunities abound, and the afternoon light and nighttime city skyline are equally extraordinary.

INTEGRATED TECHNOLOGY & AMENITIES:

WiFi, projector and microphone/PA included. The baby grand piano is available to enhance your event's ambiance (+tuning fee)

​About the hosts and DUMBO:

​Rosie von Lila and David Fulton have a combined 26 years living in New York's incredible DUMBO neighborhood. They are DUMBO historians, and the stewards of tales told by the people who lived them. Rosie and David's passion for hospitality and New York history, Afternoon Tea, and a marvelous collection of antique porcelain, create the Curio Cabinet’s signature tea service and their tour "Take Down the Mob, Over Afternoon Tea." They are known in New York for hosting great gatherings, and everyone who visits their museum-worthy-home is delighted by the curiosities and oddities collected from across the U.S and globe.
