THE RESEARCH-BACKED TOOL THAT SUPPORTS FLOURISHING
"HOW DO I GROW MY FLOURISHING?"
I wanted a tool that would help me grow my flourishing.
But all the academic measures just gave me a score. They didn't show me a way forward.
So my sweetie and I made our own tool... a way to look at our lives and identify where to take action next.
We used it for a year, just the two of us at home.
Then our friends wanted to try it.
Then we gave a workshop to NYPD.
Then we presented it to the US Army and Navy.
They said: It looks like it will increase resilience, but we need to see data to back it.
So we ran a research study in 2025-2026.
The NYU STERN Initiative on Purpose and Flourishing conducted an independent, third-party evaluation of our program. Here's what they found:

This is what we made: The Practical Flourishing Assessment (TPFA).
And for the first time, it's available to the public.
Join us each month online for a live session to look at your life, and practice your flourishing. It's private. It's secure. It works.
Flourishing is a practice.
Try You Exist 2 Flourish:
The Monthly TPFA Experience.
HOW IT WORKS:
In just 30 minutes once per month, you can have clarity, a sense of accomplishment, and peace in knowing what actions to take next.
-
Your own physical TPFA Discovery Booklet will arrive by mail.
-
You'll join other members once per month on Zoom, the last Thursday of the month.
-
Choose your session time. It's 1 hour: 8am Eastern or 12pm Eastern.
-
In that session, complete your TPFA in about 30 minutes.
-
A couple weeks later, there's a bonus Mid-Month Check-In for accountability to support you in making your actions. Stop in for 5 minutes for easy support.
-
THAT'S IT! Complete your TPFA, and then you'll have clarity on your coming month, and which actions to make to grow your flourishing.
All of the actions are self-identified. TPFA is about looking at your life, where you are now, where you would like to go, and making actions in that direction. Everyone's flourishing is different. TPFA helps you discover what flourishing means to you.
Try TPFA. It's easy. It works.

TESTIMONIALS FROM THE TPFA RESEARCH STUDY PARTICIPANTS:
These are real quotes that were submitted anonymously by TPFA participants.
“It’s such an effective tool for being productive toward the things I care about and want to get done.”
“This helped me structure my time better, plan better, and actually include time for myself.”
“This helped me look at the alignment between my values and how I spend my time. I’m trying to actually get those in sync.”
“Seeing the whole wheel [TPFA Compass Chart] shows me I’ve done much more than I give myself credit for. That shifts me out of guilt and into gratitude.”
“This process has really shown me how out of alignment my time is with what I want to be doing.”
“Before, I lived in a ‘should spiral’: I should do this, I should do that. Until I was so overwhelmed I didn’t even want to look at it.”
“Now it feels good knowing I actually have a plan. I’ve blocked time in my calendar, and that’s enough. I don’t have to work on it every day to be moving forward.”
“I’m discovering that if I don’t calendar it, it doesn’t happen.”
“This work really opens up energy and vision to do more.”
“Before, I was scattered and trying too hard. Now I see that if I gain energy and take care of myself, everything else follows.”
“I make it very, very complicated… What I’m finding good about this process is just being concrete.”
“Something straightforward and simple can be very, very powerful.”
“Being around people who are taking on their flourishing makes it easier for me to flourish and do hard things without it feeling hard.”
